BYD has confirmed pricing and specifications for the ATTO 3 EVO with the upgraded electric SUV starting from £38,990 and rising to £42,730.

The revised pricing for the refreshed electric family SUV is decribed by the car makers as a ‘modest’ step up on the £36,490 starting price of the outgoing model which made its UK debut in 2023, despite significant gains in range, performance, charging speed and standard equipment.

The ATTO 3 EVO will be offered in two trim levels, with the Design priced at £38,990 and the Excellence at £42,730. Order books open from April 2.

The Design features a single motor producing 309bhp, while the Excellence introduces a dual motor setup delivering 443bhp and all-wheel drive capability.

Both variants offer a WLTP range of up to 316 miles, placing the model competitively within the mid-size electric SUV segment.

More performance for price increase

The pricing uplift over the previous ATTO 3 comes alongside a major technical upgrade, including the adoption of BYD’s latest E-Platform 3.0.

This brings a shift to rear-wheel drive on the Design model and all-wheel drive on Excellence, alongside faster acceleration, with 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds and 3.9 seconds respectively.

Charging capability has also been significantly improved, with a maximum rate of 220kW enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 25 minutes.

Specification and practicality gains

Standard equipment has been enhanced across both trims, with the Design featuring a 15.6-inch touchscreen with integrated Google services, wireless charging, a 360° camera, heat pump and Vehicle-to-Load capability.

The Excellence adds a head-up display, heated rear seats and a panoramic sunroof. Boot space increases to 490 litres and the addition of a 95-litre front storage compartment.

Dealer positioning in EV segment

The car maker said it expects the ATTO 3 EVO’s pricing and specification updates to strengthen BYD’s position in the UK’s fast-growing electric SUV market, particularly as dealers balance value-led propositions with rising EV supply.

The model is backed by a six-year, 93,750-mile vehicle warranty and an eight-year battery warranty, supporting long-term ownership appeal.
