Fast-growing brand BYD has approved Autoglym LifeShine as its preferred ceramic paint protection partner across its UK dealer network.
Under the new partnership, BYD dealers will be able to sell and apply Autoglym LifeShine’s CeraFuse and the new CeraFuse Ultra vehicle protection systems.
The agreement allows BYD sales teams to upsell Autoglym LifeShine products alongside the sale of new and approved used vehicles, creating profit opportunities while helping to boost customer satisfaction.
Autoglym says the CeraFuse and new CeraFuse Ultra products deliver exceptional protection for paintwork, glass and interiors, supported by a lifetime guarantee.
To increase sales and margin opportunities, Autoglym has created a bespoke support programme tailored specifically for BYD.
This includes full preparation and application training for technical teams that is specifically tailored for BYD paintwork, access to Autoglym accredited detailers for those dealers that choose to sell the premium-grade CeraFuse Ultra product, and customer service training on enquiry management, digital sales and product knowledge across sales and aftersales.
Autoglym will also provide BYD retailers with a tailored digital toolkit, a one-stop shop for LifeShine marketing assets, useful links, product information, video content and FAQs.
BYD will include its own bespoke assets and imagery within this toolkit, along with preparation and application guidelines.
BYD dealers will also have the option of displaying a pre-treated hero car in showrooms, creating a destination for potential buyers so they can experience the benefits of LifeShine.
Alongside LifeShine, BYD dealers will be able to stock Autoglym’s full range of retail products, including top-up products of those gifted as part of the Autoglym Aftercare Collection.
A full professional range is also available to those dealers that wish to look at how cost efficient a valeting bay can be. All BYD dealers will be able to request and access Autoglym LifeShine and Autoglym Retail and Professional products via the programme. Autoglym LifeShine will also be available at DENZA stores, BYD’s premium brand.
Anna Houldsworth, global head of paint protection at Autoglym, said: “Since BYD entered the UK market in 2023, the brand has captured the attention of British drivers and is showing impressive growth and momentum. Our collaboration is designed to elevate the entire customer journey while unlocking new profit opportunities for BYD’s dealer network.
“The introduction of Denza later this year will align perfectly with our elite ceramic protection; CeraFuse ULTRA. This agreement marks the start of a strong, long-term partnership between our two brands, built on shared ambition and a commitment to excellence”.
Maurizio Pisano, aftersales manager UK, at BYD, added: “BYD is pleased to announce our partnership with Autoglym, a collaboration that aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy to elevate the ownership experience across our entire range.
“This partnership arrives at an exciting moment for BYD, as we prepare to introduce Denza to the UK market later this year, bringing premium innovation together with premium care”.
Autoglym said it expects most of the 160-strong BYD network to be trained to promote and apply Autoglym LifeShine products by the end of the year.
