AM100 dealer group Brayleys has bought two Honda dealerships and its first Suzuki franchise from Crown Motors.

Located in Hendon and Bushey Heath, these acquisitions mean the group now operates 31 dealerships in locations ranging from the north of Manchester to the south of London representing nine manufacturer partners.

These new sites bring the total number of Honda businesses operated by Brayleys to 10 and mark the introduction of Suzuki into Brayleys’ portfolio.

Family-owned Crown Motors joined the Suzuki GB franchise in 2020 with the opening of the Honda showroom in Hendon, North London.

The newly acquired dealerships will continue to operate at their existing locations, providing customers with uninterrupted service and access to a broader range of vehicles.

The news follows the December announcement that Brayleys had bought its first Hyundai dealership in St Albans from family-owned business Coupers for an undisclosed sum.

That city centre site has been Hertfordshire’s authorised dealer for Hyundai for more than 30 years and added to Brayleys’ portfolio of brands, including Kia, Honda, Mazda, Renault and Dacia.

Commenting on the acquisition of the newly acquired dealerships, founder and Brayleys CEO Paul Brayley commented: “We are thrilled to welcome the Hendon and Bushey Heath Honda teams, as well as the Hendon Suzuki team, into the Brayleys family.

“These acquisitions are a testament to our ongoing commitment to growth and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Expanding our Honda operations and introducing Suzuki to our portfolio allows us to serve a wider customer base across the Home Counties.”

Brayley also noted: “It’s particularly meaningful for me to welcome the Honda Bushey site, as it’s where I started my journey in car sales as a trainee salesperson 40 years ago. Seeing how far we’ve come fills me with immense pride.”

AW Rostamani Group now owns 100% of the business Brayley founded in 2003 with its first Honda franchise in St Albans.

In 2018 Brayley sold a majority shareholding of the group to Dubai-based group but remained as managing director and shareholder.

He was then appointed CEO of both Brayleys and West Way Nissan, which was also acquired by AW Rostamani Group.
