Batchelors Motor Group has announced the acquisition of its fifth dealership site, marking another key milestone in the group’s rapid growth.

The newly acquired premises – formerly a Vertu Mini showroom in Malton will become Batchelors’ third dedicated Omoda and Jaecoo facility.

Currently undergoing a comprehensive refit, the site is set to open its doors for vehicle sales on 18 August which coincides with a surge in the UK market share for both Omoda and Jaecoo, as well as the launch of several new models.

Tony Denton, managing director at Batchelors Motor Group, said: “We’re thrilled to bring our fifth site online and continue our partnership with Omoda and Jaecoo. This expansion reflects our commitment to innovation, customer experience, and the future of EV mobility.

“The Malton facility will play a key role in supporting our brand’s momentum and delivering exceptional service to our growing customer base.”

Batchelors is covering the Omoda and Jaecoo region for North Yorkshire, including York, Ripon, Harrogate, Scarborough, Malton, Pickering, Boroughbridge, and Thirsk.

The expansion comes as Omoda and Jaecoo UK records its strongest performance yet. According to the latest Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures, the brands achieved a combined 2.71% UK market share in July, up from 2.1% in June with 1,874 Omoda and 1,915 Jaecoo vehicles registered last month.

Recent milestones include 10,000 UK orders for the newly launched Jaecoo 7 since January, and continued momentum for the Omoda 5, Omoda E5, and premium Omoda 9 SHS. The upcoming Jaecoo 5 (ICE and EV), Omoda 7, and Jaecoo 8 are expected to fuel further growth.
