Anheuser-Busch on Wednesday announced another multi-billion dollar investment in its brewery in Virginia.
The Budweiser brewer said it would spend $4.2 million to upgrade critical manufacturing equipment at the Williamsburg facility. The announcement follows a $6.5 million investment in the brewery last year.
“As one of James City County’s leading employers, this $4.2 million investment reinforces Anheuser-Busch’s commitment to quality products and contributing to our local community,” Tom Jokerst, the brewery’s general manager, said in the announcement. “We have been proud to brew in Williamsburg for over 50 years, and investments like this one allow us to continue to uphold industry-leading standards and drive economic growth in the commonwealth of Virginia.”
Anheuser-Busch says it employs more than 750 people across five facilities in Virginia.
