Anheuser-Busch earlier this month announced a $10 million investment in its North Florida brewery.

The Budweiser brewer said in a statement that the project would include upgrades to the facility — which originally opened in 1969 — as well as updates to critical plant infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.

“We have been proud to brew in Jacksonville for the last 55 years, and this new $10 million investment will not only improve our local facility here but also make a positive economic impact in our Duval County community,” Craig Tomeo, the Jacksonville brewery’s senior general manager, said in a statement. “Anheuser-Busch’s investments in its facilities, including our brewery here in Jacksonville, ensures that we are able to continue showing up locally as an employer and community partner while brewing at the highest quality and efficiency standards.”
