Anheuser-Busch Invests Additional $8M in Flagship St. Louis Brewery

Anheuser-Busch on Tuesday announced that it would invest another $8 million in its St. Louis brewery.

The announcement adds to more than $165 million invested in the brewing giant’s flagship campus over the past five years, including the renovation of the company’s Technical Excellence Center. Since the center reopened, it has advanced the careers of more than 1,500 frontline Anheuser-Busch workers.

The Budweiser brewer said that it has also pledged nearly $1 million this year for skills training, entrepreneurship efforts and higher education initiatives across the St. Louis area.

“Our continued investments in our St. Louis brewery benefit not only our local team, but also our hometown, which continues to be a core part of our identity after more than 165 years,” Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said in the announcement. “This brewery is as iconic as the beer we brew, and these investments help ensure that we not only have the infrastructure but also the people and talent to build on our legacy for generations to come.”   

In total, the company said it has spent nearly $2 billion on its U.S. facilities in the last five years.
