Retail leaders and energy specialists will discuss how UK dealerships can plan electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure as part of the next free Automotive Management webinar on March 26.
Senior representatives from Vertu Motors and Sytner Group will share their experiences of preparing dealership networks for growing EV charging demand during an upcoming Automotive Management webinar.
The live and interactive session, titled ‘Powering the EV revolution: Energy strategies every dealership needs now’, will take place at 2pm and is sponsored by EnergyForce.
As EV adoption accelerates across the UK, dealership sites are facing increasing pressure to provide charging for customers, demonstrator vehicles and workshop operations. Staff demand is also rising as more employees switch to EVs.
These changes mean charging infrastructure is becoming an operational requirement for retailers rather than simply an added customer amenity.
The webinar will examine how dealer groups are planning for this shift and what steps businesses should take now to ensure their sites can cope with rising EV volumes.
Martin Bleasby, managing director of EnergyForce (left), will provide insight drawn from more than 25 years of experience across the sustainable energy and electrical distribution sectors.
EnergyForce delivers energy infrastructure projects across the UK, including grid connections, solar PV installations, battery storage and EV charging solutions.
Joining him on the panel will be Elaine Cole, commercial director at Vertu Motors, and Jason Wood, electric vehicle and environmental project manager at Sytner Group.
Both retailers are involved in rolling out EV charging infrastructure and solar projects across their dealership estates and will discuss the practical realities of planning for an electric future.
Topics will include how dealer groups decide where to install chargers, how they balance operational requirements with customer access, and what lessons have been learned from early installations.
The discussion will also cover charger types, site planning, grid considerations and investment strategies as retailers work to futureproof their facilities.
