Manufacturer of high-tech metal structural components for aircraft engines and airframes LISI AEROSPACE has appointed energy specialists Equity Energies to deliver on net zero targets.

LISI AEROSPACE serves over 300 customers in 30 countries, with its products found in most aircraft worldwide.

Their site in Rugby, Warwickshire site produces over 200,000 items daily.

Equity Energies’ analytics and smart metering platform, MY ZEERO, will be installed on 18 pieces of equipment at LISI AEROSPACE’s UK site.

This platform will help track, manage and visualise energy use at a detailed level.

It will allow LISI AEROSPACE to spot maintenance issues, improve energy efficiency and monitor carbon emissions.

Mark Capell, General Manager at LISI AEROSPACE’s Rugby site, commented: ‘We’re proud of the positive steps that have already been taken in advancing our progress on net zero. There’s been a notable shift in investment and in the pace of progress to reach net-carbon-neutrality within aviation, in line with the 2050 target. This is creating positive pressure within the supply chain as businesses seek to further reduce their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

‘At the heart of achieving progress is the value chain. Through our partnership with Equity Energies, we will gain access to a wide range of decarbonisation products and services which will not only unlock value through efficiencies but will accelerate our Net Zero journey and in doing so, support the ambitions of our clients around the world.’
