Clive Sutton has opened a 17,000 sq ft flagship dealership in North West London, bringing its luxury, performance and specialist vehicle operations together with workshop and aftersales facilities.

The opening marks a return to manufacturer-backed retail for Clive Sutton, which previously operated eight London dealerships representing marques including Jaguar, Chrysler Jeep, Rover, MG, Cadillac and Chevrolet. Click the image and watch the video.

The new dealership on Oxgate Lane at Staples Corner will provide sales and long-term ownership support for Corvette supercars, Cadillac SUVs, Chevrolet SUVs and trucks and high-performance Shelby models.

It also houses Clive Sutton’s wider portfolio of modified and bespoke vehicles, including Sutton-enhanced Ford Mustangs, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter luxury conversions and customised VIP London taxis.

Sales and aftersales combined

Clive Sutton is the official UK distributor and London dealer for GM Specialty Vehicles. The new showroom acts as the headquarters of GMSV UK and supports the distributor’s recently established five-dealership network.

The wider network includes Unity Automotive in Oxford, Grange dealerships in Birmingham and Edinburgh and ACE American Autos in Leeds.

Clive Sutton, chairman of Clive Sutton, said: “Our new flagship dealership is a major moment for our business and for customers who want something different from the usual premium car market. It brings luxury, performance, American muscle, and bespoke VIP vehicles together in one dedicated London destination.

“Our aim is to give customers access to distinctive vehicles, expert advice and proper long-term support from the moment they start exploring the range through ownership and aftersales.”

Flagship supports UK network

The dealership gives customers direct access to Cadillac and Chevrolet SUVs and trucks supplied through GMSV, alongside Corvette and Clive Sutton’s established performance and bespoke ranges.

Clive Sutton said the larger premises would allow the business to combine vehicle sales with specialist advice, workshop facilities and continuing technical support.

The business has operated in the luxury and performance vehicle market for almost 40 years, importing vehicles and managing UK taxation and homologation requirements for customers.

It also holds distribution rights for Shelby American and Superformance and produces bespoke Mercedes-Benz V-Class and Sprinter conversions, customised LEVC taxis and modified Ford Mustangs.

Clive Sutton’s GMSV operation says its UK network will give customers access to sales and aftersales support while maintaining a consistent ownership experience across its five dealerships.
