The UK EV sector is set to see one of the largest charging infrastructure migrations ever, enabling fleets to retain and optimise their existing charging estate without costly rip-and-replace programmes.
Fuuse and Drax will support the transition of almost 1,000 former bp pulse fleet ‘depot’ charging customers and their chargers. These customers represent a combined charging socket count of more than 14,000.
The appointment follows more than a year of extensive collaboration, hardware testing and platform development between bp’s EV charging business and Fuuse, to make sure that customers can transition smoothly.
Through a strategic partnership with Drax, customers will also benefit from an enterprise-grade service and maintenance offering. This will include the continuation of existing hardware warranty support and protecting previous infrastructure investment.
Adam Hall, Energy Services Director at Drax Electric Vehicles said: “Ensuring former bp pulse fleet ‘depot’ charging customers can move forward with confidence is our priority.
“With nationwide field service capability and continuity of existing hardware warranty support, we can help ensure charging infrastructure remains maintained, supported and fully operational. That means less disruption, reduced downtime and greater confidence for fleets relying on their vehicles every day.”
Customers affected by the bp pulse transition can register their migration via the link provided in the notification email from bp pulse.
