Aion will give its UK dealerships at least five additional models over the next 18 months as the Chinese manufacturer expands beyond electric cars and builds towards an eight-model range by 2030.
The product programme includes the electric UT Cross and GS7 SUV, which have today been presented at the Paris Motor Show ahead of 2027 launches in the UK.
The GS7 will introduce hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains to Aion’s British range for the first time, broadening the products available to dealerships beyond fully electric vehicles. UK prices, specifications and launch timings for both models will be announced closer to their arrival.
GS7 expands powertrain choice
The five-seat GS7 is the first production model developed on Aion’s new EV+ platform and is already offered in markets across South America and Central Asia.
Aion said the SUV would introduce higher tech and cabin equipment spec than its existing UK models. It will also place the recently launched brand in a wider section of the UK new car market as competition between established manufacturers and Chinese entrants intensifies.
UT gains crossover version
The electric UT Cross is derived from the UT hatchback but sits 20mm higher and adds black wheelarch protection, lower body trim and roof rails. It also receives wider 225mm tyres, distinctive alloy wheels and a 440-litre boot.
The model shares the regular UT’s 204PS electric powertrain and 60kWh battery, along with equipment including a heat pump and heated steering wheel.
Its combination of supermini dimensions and crossover styling will give Aion dealerships another product in one of the UK market’s most competitive segments.

Aion’s Great 8 Promise includes an eight-year vehicle warranty, eight years of roadside assistance and servicing and MOT cover until the vehicle is eight years old.
