Marshall Motor Group will represent Changan from a new Braintree dealership as the Chinese manufacturer expands its UK network.
The Essex dealership will offer Changan’s electric and electrified vehicles alongside sales, servicing and aftersales support.
The agreement adds another manufacturer to Marshall’s franchise portfolio and the group’s growing cooperation with Chinese brands, which also includes franchises like BYD, Chery, Jaecoo, Omoda, Lepas and Geely.
Changan officially entered the UK new car market in September 2025 with the launch of the electric Deepal S07 SUV.
The manufacturer plans to expand its range with further electric and hybrid models developed for European customers.

Fussey described Changan as a globally recognised manufacturer with an established engineering record.

Changan builds UK dealer representation
Changan sells more than 2.9 million vehicles annually and has operated internationally for more than four decades.
The company also has an established UK research and development centre in Birmingham, supporting its engineering activities.
Nic Thomas, managing director of Changan UK, said Marshall’s scale, heritage and customer service experience would support the manufacturer’s next stage of growth.

Marshall joins a Changan network that has grown to more than 60 dealerships since the manufacturer entered the UK in September 2025.
Its partners include Lithia, John Clark Motor Group, Allen Motor Group, WLMG and Donalds Group.
Dealer teams receive training at Changan’s Birmingham Technical Excellence Centre, while a UK parts warehouse near East Midlands Airport supports parts availability. The manufacturer is also working with Thatcham Research and insurers on repair standards, technical data and insurance costs.
