UK small businesses will be able to benefit from lower prices and take more control of their energy costs with a new tariff.
Scottish Power have created the Advantage for Business, which is designed to give organisations greater flexibility in the currently volatile energy market. This is said to enable them to benefit if prices drop during the final 12 months of their contract.
Once a business customer enters the last year of their contract, Scottish Power will provide price alerts to warn them of price decreases.
Organisations can then choose to move the lower rate immediately or lock in lower prices for their next contract, without needing to monitor the markets themselves.
YouGov research found that more SMEs want to make more informed choices about their energy but it also shows 32% don’t know how renewable their energy tariff is.
