Former Norton Way managing director Jason Cranswick has been appointed chief executive of automotive e-commerce technology company and consultancy RockarTech.

And former Mitsubishi UK executive Lucy Collins, who has been at RockarTech since 2022 in several roles, has been promoted to chief operating officer.

Cranswick brings extensive automotive retail experience to the role, having previously held senior leadership positions at Volkswagen Group, Jardine Motors and online used car retailer Cinch.

He later served as managing director of Norton Way, part of Marubeni Auto Investment UK, and has most recently provided consultancy services to the automotive sector.

As chief executive, Cranswick will lead the next stage of RockarTech’s development as it advances its technology platform for automotive clients.

Connected motor retail experiences

RockarTech, which was founded more than a decade ago by Simon Dixon and Adrian Pattern, said Cranswick’s appointment would support its focus on helping automotive businesses streamline their operations, create more connected motor retail experiences and use data-led insights throughout the customer journey.

Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, RockarTech said: “We’re pleased to announce Jason Cranswick as the new CEO of RockarTech!

“His leadership will support our continued focus on advancing a platform that transforms automotive retail, streamlines operations, and brings data‑driven insight to every part of the customer journey, empowering our automotive clients.

“This is a strong step forward for the business and we are all looking forward to what’s ahead and what we can achieve with Jason on board.”

Collins, who was Mitsubishi Motors UK’s retail strategy manager and general manager of retail operations earlier in her career, has been RockarTech’s strategic partnerships director and chief programme officer before becoming COO.

RockarTech provides e-commerce technology and consultancy services designed to help automotive businesses respond to changing customer expectations, evolving retail models and increasingly complex digital journeys.
