Enoch Hill, a new onshore wind farm has completed construction in East Ayrshire, Scotland.
After the first generation of electricity in April 2026, the project is expected to generate 70MW of energy.
The wind farm, built by RWE, could also be capable of providing enough electricity to power around 68,000 homes.
The construction follows concerns raised earlier this year about Scotland’s onshore wind sector.

Construction began in 2023 and follows the Camster II wind farm in Caithness, making it RWE’s second new onshore wind farm in Scotland. Together both projects add 106MW of new, clean and secure generation to the country.
The project has also unlocked a £10.5 million community fund which focuses exclusively on the local area during the first five years of operations.
