The JCB Group has increased its already significant partnership with Volkswagen Group UK through its latest acquisition.
It has taken over the Canterbury Volkswagen car dealership, plus Canterbury TPS parts operation and authorised repairer franchises for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Suzuki cars, a;; acquired from Euro Canterbury.
JCB Group now operates five Volkswagen car dealerships in Kent, at Canterbury, Maidstone, Medway, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells, giving it a strong and comprehensive presence for the German brand in the county.
This latest acquisition comes just months after it bought dealerships from Group 1 Automotive UK.
The acquired dealership, at Broad Oak Road, Canterbury, will now operate as JCB Volkswagen Canterbury, while the VW Commercial Vehicle authorised repairer will be known as JCB Van Service Centre Canterbury, with the Suzuki aftersales operation remaining within the site.

In addition, the acquisition of Canterbury TPS establishes the JCB Group as the only TPS Trade Parts Specialists representative in Kent. The addition of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Authorised Repairer operation further reinforces the group’s position as Kent’s only dedicated Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle specialist for both sales and aftersales support.
In 2025 JCB Group rebranded its dealerships in Sussex, which had been operating under the Euro brand.
