Broad Arrow Auctions, driven by Hagerty, has confirmed the return of its Global Icons: Online series, with a spring sale set to feature more than 30 collector cars spanning multiple eras and marques.

The Global Icons: Spring Online auction will run from 11 to 18 May, building on the success of the inaugural sale which achieved €18.3m in total sales and a 90% sell-through rate.

Second sale builds momentum

“Our inaugural Global Icons: Online sale was a spectacular success, achieving €18.3 million in total sales with an impressive sell-through rate of 90 per cent,” says Joe Twyman, VP of sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA region. “We are thrilled to be hosting the second in our series of online sales, offering new and existing collectors the opportunity to acquire standout automobiles wherever they are in the world.”

Early consignments highlight the breadth of the catalogue, with notable entries including a 1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk 1, a 1989 Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth Group A, a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Series 70 Brougham, a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette and a 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole.

The Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk 1, estimated at €120,000 to €140,000, is described as a highly original matching numbers example, restored in its original colour combination and eligible for prestigious events such as the Mille Miglia and Le Mans Classic.

Among the most eye-catching entries is the Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth Group A, estimated at €180,000 to €200,000. Prepared by Team Imberti in 1989 but never raced, it produces 460 CV and carries period-correct Spa 24 Hours livery, underlining its appeal to historic motorsport collectors.

Icons across eras

Further lots include a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Series 70 Brougham, offered without reserve and noted for its rarity, with just 400 examples produced, and a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, representing one of the earliest publicly available models following its limited 1953 debut.

A 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole, finished in Bianco and showing just over 49,000 km, completes the early highlights, supported by a full service history and recent major maintenance.

The sale will also feature motoring and motorsport memorabilia, broadening its appeal beyond vehicle collectors.

“We are very proud to be offering these iconic automobiles from almost all eras in our Global Icons: Spring Online auction,” says Philip Kantor, vice chairman of Europe and senior car specialist at Broad Arrow.

“These are cars that took on and, in some cases, upset the establishment when they were launched or took to the racetracks of the world. We expect great interest in these models and are looking forward to sharing details of more consignments in the coming weeks.”

A selection of consignments will be showcased at a live preview event at the Museo Alfa Romeo in Milan from 14 to 18 May, offering collectors and the public the opportunity to view vehicles ahead of bidding.

Bidding opens on 11 May at 10:00 CET and begins to close on 18 May at 17:00 CET, with further consignments still being accepted ahead of the sale.
