Vantage Toyota York has been crowned Best Retailer in Toyota’s annual Best Retailer in Town (BRIT) awards, also securing an Ichiban Award for Large Retailer.

The recognition follows two consecutive years as runner up and reflects the centre’s focus on customer experience, operational consistency and team development throughout 2025.

Vantage leads retailer performance

Dipash Chauhan, centre principal at Vantage Toyota York, said: “Awards are amazing, but they’re earned daily. We’ll keep focusing on people first: our customers, our colleagues and developing the next generation of leaders within the business.”

Elsewhere in the Vantage network, Toyota Scarborough secured the Ichiban Award for Small Retailer, while Vantage Motor Group also picked up multiple category wins including marketing and parts distribution.

Peter Stableford, centre principal at Vantage Toyota Scarborough, said: “It was great when we found out we had won the Ichiban Award. We always try to do the basics right and put customers at the heart of everything we do. We never set our goal out to be number one in the BRIT awards, we just do our best every day and the results then follow.”

FRF Group secures third consecutive win

FRF Group was named Best Toyota Group for the third consecutive year, with its Newport dealership also winning the Ichiban Award for Medium Retailer.

The group said its 2025 performance was driven by a strong focus on people development and more structured performance reviews across the business.

Mark Radcliffe, managing director at FRF Group, said: “When we won the Best Group Award for the first time three years ago, it created a strong sense of pride across the team and sparked some fantastic conversations with our customers.

“Since then, we’ve been driven to improve year on year. In 2026, our focus remains the same: to build on what we’ve achieved by reviewing every aspect of the operation and identifying where we can grow, refine, and elevate our performance.”
