Jaecoo has expanded its 7 SUV range with the introduction of a self-charging hybrid variant, priced from £21,195.
The new Jaecoo 7 SHS-H sits alongside an updated plug-in hybrid model, as the brand continues to broaden its electrified offering in the UK market.
Available in Pure and Deluxe trims, the SHS-H is positioned as a lower-cost entry point into electrified driving.
The model uses a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine paired with a hybrid system, producing 224PS with CO2 emissions of 125g/km. Jaecoo said it delivers 53mpg on the WLTP cycle.
The addition of a full hybrid option provides an alternative for customers who are not ready to move to plug in vehicles, particularly where access to charging is limited.

Alongside the new powertrain, Jaecoo has introduced the SHS-P Black Luxury, a revised version of its plug in hybrid variant priced from £36,500.
The model features a blacked out design treatment but retains the existing electrified drivetrain.
Both new variants will be available to order from May through the brand’s UK dealer network.
The expansion follows strong early growth for Jaecoo in the UK, with more than 35,000 vehicles registered since launch and electrified variants accounting for over 70% of Jaecoo 7 sales.
Victor Zhang, managing director of Jaecoo UK, said: “After such a strong first year, it’s crucial that we keep evolving.
“The Jaecoo 7 SHS-P Black Luxury gives our customers even more visual impact and exclusivity, while the full-hybrid SHS-H opens up electrified performance at an extremely competitive price point.
“Together, these new additions reaffirm our commitment to giving UK drivers more choice, more value, and more of what they want from a modern SUV.”
Jaecoo recently also opened order books for its flagship seven seat SUV, as it continues to expand its presence in the UK retail market.
The move follows the introduction of a full hybrid powertrain in the sister Omoda 5 earlier this year, as the group builds out a wider range of electrified options.
