So Energy have launched what they claim is the ‘world’s first’ personalised time-of-use energy tariff, offering bespoke prices based on each household’s unique energy habits.
Using advanced data analysis from smart meters, So Unique tailors Peak, Off-peak and Super Off-peak rates to match individual usage patterns.
Rather than applying the same time bands for everyone, each customer receives a tariff that reflects their actual lifestyle.
So Energy is inviting customers to join a waiting list for the launch phase, which will include around 100 households.
The new tariff marks a major step away from traditional one-size-fits-all energy pricing.
By adapting to each customer’s behaviour, it aims to make bills fairer, simpler and more transparent while encouraging smarter energy use across the grid.
So Energy’s research suggests that switching could save households up to £150 per year compared to standard variable tariffs without any change in habits.
By shifting just 20% of energy use, such as running appliances during off-peak times, savings could increase to £200 annually.
