Parkers website changes make it easier for consumers to buy dealers’ cars

A revamp of car buying website Parkers is set to help consumers research and buy their next car more easily.

Upgrades to key tools such as the Cars for Sale section and Parkers Valuation Tool will improve the car buying journey from start to finish.

Keith Adams, the editor of Parkers, which is a sister brand of Automotive Management under owner Bauer Media, said: “We know car buyers are time-poor, and often overwhelmed by choice. How do we know this? According to our own Bauer research, more than 30% of people who start their car buying journey with us don’t even know what type of car they want.

“A quarter are undecided between buying new or used, and 37% end up purchasing a car they weren’t initially considering. That shows just how important our role is.”

The Used Cars for Sale section has with improved filters, clearer listings and more information at a glance, to help buyers find their next car more easily.

The Valuation Tool offers accurate insights into trade-in values, finance costs and running expenses, powered by data from hundreds of thousands of real-world transactions each year.

Adams added: “Our goal with this homepage refresh and tool upgrade was simple: give buyers faster access to the information that shapes their decisions. Our influence spans the entire purchase funnel, and this is especially true for EV buyers, who engage more deeply with our reviews and advice before they ever visit a manufacturer website.

“We’re here to help them make better-informed choices – whether it’s petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric.”

Further enhancements are coming soon.

Parkers partnered the Motors network of partner websites in 2024, joining its existing partners like Gumtree, eBay, and Cazoo.

Known for its comprehensive reviews, expert advice, and extensive dealer listings, Parkers is a trusted resource for UK used car buyers.
