Leasing.com has launched a new comparison platform for used car leasing, with a focus on making personal contract hire more accessible for electric vehicles.
The new site, re.Leasing.com, is described as the UK’s first dedicated used car leasing comparison tool and has been developed in partnership with Lex Autolease, one of the largest funders of used EVs in the UK.
Initially concentrating on ex-lease electric vehicles available on both personal and business contract hire, the platform will expand to include other vehicle types in future.
The move reflects growing interest in second-hand EVs as more models come off lease and into the remarketing pipeline.
Re.Leasing.com is powered by technology from loveelectric and brings together lease deals from a network of broker partners, including Leasing Options, Gateway2Lease, FleetPrices, OVL Group, Planet Leasing and Electric Car Lease.
Mike Fazal, chief executive of Leasing.com, said the platform aims to open up used EV leasing to a wider group of drivers.
He noted that used car leasing has the potential to become a significant segment of the market in coming years and that the business is positioning itself to lead in that space.
Mike Fazal, CEO of Leasing.com, said: “We’ve always been at the forefront of the leasing sector, now we’re proud to be helping to accelerate the used car leasing market.
“We expect the used car leasing market to become huge over the next few years, and we will be in the driver’s seat.
“Leasing offers flexibility of choice, and now we can offer that flexibility across new and used cars too.”
