Celtic Auto Group has partnered with KGM Motors (formerly SsangYong) to add the franchise to its Swansea location.

This expansion follows on from Celtic’s recent win as “Best in Customer Service” at the prestigious AM Awards and will increase KGM’s representation in South Wales, with the group also having other locations in Llanelli, Neath and Port Talbot.

Tony Sciascia, managing director at Celtic Auto Group, said: “Joining the KGM network is a fantastic opportunity for us.

“We’re really excited to bring a fresh, dynamic brand to our customers that we know they will love. It’s a great match for us, and we look forward to many successful years.”

Situated on Victoria Rd, Gorseinon, Swansea, Celtic’s showroom showcases KGM’s line-up, including the new Actyon, alongside the Rexton, Rexton Commercial, Musso, Korando, and Tivoli, as well as the Torres and all-electric Torres EVX.

Kevin Griffin, managing director at KGM Motors UK, said: “Celtic has a strong local presence and a reputation for putting customers first, which is exactly what we look for in our dealer partners.

“We’re confident this new partnership will help us reach even more customers across South Wales.”

The UK dealer network has been growing steadily since KGM’s takeover of SsangYong and is now has over 70 locations.

In time Griffin wants to increase this to 80 to get national coverage, filling some open points in North Wales, around Glasgow and in the South East of England.

He says the dealers coming to the brand are quite a mix now that KGM is not so heavily focused on 4×4 capability, and particularly as companies such as Ford and Renault have been reducing their own network scale.
