Recently, Kollmorgen Corporation (RADFORD, VA) introduced a new addition to its IC Ironcore Direct Drive Linear (DDL) motor family, expanding its range to support 400/480 VAC-powered applications in addition to existing 230 VAC models.
The new IC Ironcore DDL motor is designed for applications requiring high-speed, high-force linear motion, such as machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing, battery production, and industrial automation.
Features & Benefits:
-
Delivers continuous force up to 8,211 N and peak force up to 13,448 N
-
Supports 230/400/480 VAC bus voltages.
-
Enables operation at higher speeds when powered by higher voltages.
-
Eliminates the need for transformers in high-voltage environments.
-
Operates with lower current draw, allowing use of smaller drive amplifiers and lighter cables.
-
Supports use of smaller control cabinets with reduced cooling requirements.
-
Offers a water cooling option for a 40–60% increase in continuous force output.
-
Helps achieve more compact and sustainable machine designs.
-
UL and CE Certified; RoHS and REACH Compliant.
-
Compatible with AKD and AKD2G servo drives.
-
Dual-axis drive options support synchronized motion control in multi-axis systems.
Complies with UL, CE, RoHS, and REACH standards and is suitable for global deployment across North America, Europe, and Asia in industrial automation and motion control applications.
