Motorpoint has partnered with Phyron to drastically reduce the time it takes to produce video content for its used car stock.

Sweden-based Phyron, which has its UK division headquarters in Brighton, said its technology has reduced Motorpoint’s video production time from two working days per vehicle if it were done manually to five minutes using AI systems.

Motorpoint is using the technology across its group of used car supermarkets to produce bespoke videos for any car in its UK inventory.

These videos are designed for social media channels such as Meta, YouTube and TikTok.

Rosanna Hansford, head of paid media at Motorpoint, said: “With Phyron we’ve been able to increase the volume of leads in some instances by up to 80%.

“It’s also been interesting to see the impact Phyron ads have had on lead quality, we’ve noted traffic driven from some of the assets have been undertaking more valuable actions to us as a business that are more likely to result in a vehicle purchase.”

Hansford said Motorpoint’s stock mix can change daily, which means the business needs to be able to reprioritise what it is advertising quickly.

She said: “Using AI video technology means we’re able to strategically swap out vehicles quickly and have new ad creative ready to go in a matter of minutes.”

Phyron now works with over 3,500 dealers across 30 countries.

Since January 2021, its customers’ car videos have been viewed more than 500 million times.
