The J.M. Smucker Co. announced Monday that it has completed the sale of its Cloverhill and Big Texas brands, along with certain private label products, to JTM Foods in all-cash transaction valued at about $40 million.

In addition to the brands, the sale includes a Chicago manufacturing facility, about 400 employees, and relevant trademarks and licenses.

The deal was originally announced in late January.

Smucker officials said the move reflects its “continued commitment to portfolio optimization,” as well as its prioritization of resources for its Hostess brand.

The deal is expected to affect Smucker’s 2025 net sales by about $10 million.
