Steven Eagell Group has successfully partnered with Jigcar to streamline its retail vehicle movements, achieving over £300,000 in annual savings following a successful trial.
Jigcar piloted its AI-driven platform with the group last year, identifying significant cost savings across Steven Eagell’s 32 Toyota and 11 Lexus dealerships. By consolidating vehicle movement providers and securing lower, volume-based rates, the group has significantly improved transportation efficiency while reducing costs.
All retail vehicle movements are now managed through the Jigcar platform, providing real-time data insights for leadership and simplifying processes for dealership staff. As a result, retail vehicle movements are now consistently completed within two days, three days faster than the industry average. This reduction in time has led to a £30-per-day saving in stock costs per vehicle and an overall reduction in days to sell.
Jigcar CEO Elliott Perks said the partnership was delivering real savings for the group at a time when transportation costs were a growing concern across the industry.
“Across the industry, dealer groups face transportation charges of up to £250 per vehicle, when that’s multiplied by thousands of vehicles the costs escalate. Everything we do is based around using our AI-driven platform to reduce cost per car and cost per mile to deliver bottom line savings,” he said.
The next stage of the partnership will see the Jigcar platform managing vehicle movements for Steven Eagell Group’s expanding fleet business.
“Since partnering with Jigcar we have greater visibility of transport costs across the business which has increased our efficiencies and helped us control costs and make significant savings,” said Sheraz Rashid, group operations director at Steven Eagell Group.
“Our general managers are now in a better position to factor in vehicle movements as part of the sales process and an area where costs can be saved and days to sell reduced.
“Jigcar quickly delivered quantifiable cost savings across all our retail movements, so we are looking forward to working with them to achieve what could be even bigger savings across our fleet operations,” said Rashid.
