UK Power Networks is on the hunt for 57 eager trainees to kickstart their careers in 2025 with its award-winning apprenticeship programme.
With roles across London, the South East and East of England, the electricity network giant is offering positions for school leavers and career changers alike.
Trainees will become qualified cable jointers, substation fitters or overhead linespeople, maintaining the vast infrastructure that powers 20 million homes.
The programme, known for its top-notch training, covers all costs, including travel and residential training, while paying recruits to learn.
Charlie Aston, engineering trainee manager at UK Power Networks, said: “Our programme is ideal for team players with lots of motivation, who prioritise safety and high standards, enjoy manual work, problem-solving and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
“We look for people who pride themselves on providing a great service for colleagues and customers alike.”
Like many other energy companies UKPN is recruiting more as new skills are needed for the energy transition.
