Heidenhain (Schaumburg, IL) showcased its latest innovations in digital manufacturing at IMTS 2024 in Chicago.
Heidenhain displayed the TNC7 control system, offering improved user experience and process reliability for 5-axis machining.
Features:
- New hardware versions, available with 24-inch, 19-inch and 16-inch monitors, make it adaptable to wide range of applications
- TNC7 basic, designed for 3+2-axis machines, provides features like MAS graphical 6D setup support, DCM collision monitoring and OCM trochoidal milling
Heidenhain also highlighted the latest version of its StateMonitor software, which included energy monitoring and ERP interfacing features, allowing businesses to analyze detailed data and improve operational efficiency.
KERN visitors experienced new TNC features on the KERN 5-Axis machining center, specifically jig grinding features. The machine is also equipped with REGO-FIX tool holding technology.
Additionally, Heidenhain debuted the VT 122 measuring camera, an all-in-one system that combines tool presetting, microscopy and visual inspection.

Attendees also witnessed the KCI 120 Dplus encoders in action within the ABB Cobot, working in conjunction with the TURNPWR from Acu-Rite Solutions. This demo showcased the integration of Heidenhain’s precision encoders with Acu-Rite Solutions’ versatile CNC technology.
