Independent garages gain access to ombudsman’s dispute resolution service

More than 3,000 independent garage members can now tap in to The Motor Ombudsman’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) service.

This new benefit aims to help member garages of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) manage and resolve consumer disputes more efficiently.

The Motor Ombudsman, a CTSI-approved ADR provider, offers garages a structured, impartial process to handle customer complaints, which can save time and reduce costs by resolving disputes outside of court.

IAAF members will now have streamlined access to The Motor Ombudsman’s ADR services, allowing them to join its accreditation scheme.

Accredited garages may display The Motor Ombudsman and CTSI Approved Code logos and benefit from increased visibility through The Motor Ombudsman’s online Garage Finder.

Discounts on insurance and certification are additional perks of the scheme.

Mark Field, chief executive of IAAF, said, “We are always looking to improve our support for members. By giving access to The Motor Ombudsman’s ADR services, we are helping garages maintain excellent customer relations and uphold the high standards our federation represents.”
