Short-term insurer Tempcover and Cap HPI are joining forces to help dealers close more sales with insurance cover ranging from one hour to 28 days.
The flexible driveaway insurance allows customers to immediately drive their new purchase, giving them time to shop for the best long-term insurance deal.
Nick Brunton, director of partnerships at Tempcover, said: “We’ve developed an insurance product specifically for dealers. Tempcover helps close more sales and improves the buying experience for customers. Every dealer stands to benefit from the flexibility Tempcover adds to the buying journey.”
Through its partnership with cap hpi, Tempcover aims to reach dealers across the UK, highlighting the benefits of its insurance product. The streamlined process allows customers to generate a quote in under two minutes without dealer intervention, with documents emailed immediately to insured customers.
Tempcover is also running TV and radio advertisements to increase brand awareness among consumers.
As the first InsurTech authorized by the FCA to launch a driveaway insurance product, Tempcover is pioneering this service.
Jon Dennis, UK sales director at Cap HPI, added: “The driveaway protection we offer with Tempcover will accelerate the car-buying process for our dealers’ customers. It ensures buyers can drive their new car the same day, giving them time to weigh their long-term insurance options – an excellent selling point.”
