Households switching to a fixed energy deal from a standard variable tariff could save up to £237 or 14% compared to the October energy price cap.
The new cap will rise from £1,720 to £1,755 on 1 October. However, there are currently 27 fixed deals available that cost less than this, according to Uswitch.com.
The cheapest deal is Outfox Energy’s “Outfox the Price Cap Oct 2025 12M v3.0”, which offers an average annual bill of £1,518 and the highest saving compared to the new cap.
Fuse Energy is also offering several strong options, including a 12-month deal saving £185 and a 13-month version saving £208.
A special version of the 13-month tariff is available exclusively through Uswitch, Confused.com and direct via Fuse Energy.
Elise Melville, energy expert at Uswitch.com, said: “If you haven’t switched in a year or more, run a comparison as soon as possible. Households with the option to switch could almost always save by moving to a fixed deal.”
